In the month of January 2015 in East Java experienced inflation of 0.20 percent. From 8 cities CPI in East Java, three cities experienced inflation, and five experienced deflation. The
highest inflation was in Surabaya by 0.41 percent, followed by 0.08
percent Banyuwangi, and the lowest was in Malang inflation of 0.04
percent. Deflation was strongest in Sumenep- by 0.27 percent, followed by 0.24
percent Jember, Probolinggo by 0.20 percent, 0.19 percent Kediri, and
the lowest deflation at 0.05 percent Madiun.
Of the seven expenditure groups, six groups of inflation. Expenditure
group that experienced the highest inflation is foodstuff by 1.36
percent, followed by clothing group by 1.16 percent, health by 1.11
percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 1.05 percent ,
processed foods, beverages and tobacco by 0.74 percent, and inflation
was lowest in education, recreation and sports by 0.20 percent. While deflation group is a group of transport, communications and financial services by 3.01 percent.
Commodities
that give the largest contribution to inflation is air transport,
railway fare, chicken, eggs, construction worker foreman, rice, gold
jewelry, rental houses, carrots, and wages housekeeper. Air
freight rates and rail rates increased after application of the
Regulation of the Minister of Communications No. 91 of 2014 which
regulates air freight rates lower limit of at least 40% of the upper
limit tariff and subsidy transfer to the train (KA) economic distance
and distance are to local and commuter rail
Commodities
which provides the largest share of deflation is petrol, red chili,
cayenne pepper, solar, transportation within the city, spinach, milk /
sponge, cement, lemuru, and beans. The decrease in fuel dated January 1, 2015 and January 19, 2015 is not
followed a significant reduction in transport fares and fare intercity
transportation in the city.
Of 6 provincial capital on the island
of Java, the two cities experienced inflation and four cities experienced deflation. Inflation in the city of Surabaya by 0.41 percent and 0.13 percent of Yogyakarta city. While deflation occurred in the city of Semarang 0.48 percent,
followed by the city of 0,41persen, Serang city of 0.24 percent, and the
lowest deflation occurred in the city of 0.05 percent.
Of the 82 cities nationwide CPI, 31 cities experienced inflation and 51 cities experienced deflation. Five
cities that experienced the highest inflation Ambon at 2.37 percent,
Merauke of 1.73 percent, 1.69 percent Balikpapan, Tanjung Pandan of 1.39
percent and 1.19 percent Pontianak. While the 5 cities that experienced the highest deflation of 1.98
percent Padang, Watampone and Gorontalo respectively by 1.27 percent,
1.22 percent Bogor, and Palembang of 1.15 percent.
The inflation rate of the calendar year (December 2014-January 2015) East Java reached 0.20 percent. Inflation
year-on-year (January 2015 to January 2014) in East Java at 6.86
percent, the rate is lower than the inflation year-on-year in January
2014 at 7.65 percent
