Abstract

The total workforce in February 2023 was 23.42 million people, an increase of 378.88 thousand people compared to February 2022. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased 0.51 percentage point compared to February 2022 TPAK.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) for February 2023 was 4.33 percent, down 0.48 percentage points compared to February 2022.
The working population is 22.40 million people, an increase of 473.46 thousand people from February 2022. The wholesale and retail trade, repair and maintenance of cars and motorcycles sector was the job field that experienced the largest increase (0.61 percentage point). In contrast, the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector experienced the largest decline (0.59 percentage points).
As many as 14.46 million people (64.54 percent) work in informal activities, up 2 percentage points compared to February 2022.
The percentage of underemployed fell by 1.54 percentage points, while the percentage of part-time workers fell by 1 percentage point compared to February 2022.
There are around 503 thousand people (1.53 percent of the working age population) affected by COVID-19. Consisting of the unemployed due to COVID-19 (25,081 people), Non-Labor Force (BAK) due to COVID-19 (29,613 people), temporarily unemployed due to COVID-19 (9,958 people), and working residents who have experienced reduced working hours due to COVID-19 19 (about 438 thousand people).
