One indicator to measure the welfare of farmers in rural areas is an indicator Farmers Exchange (NTP). East Java Farmers Exchange in February 2015 rose 0.91 percent compared with January of 105.23 into 106.18. This
is due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It)
is greater than the increase in the index of prices paid by farmers
(Ib). Index of prices received by farmers rose 0.33 percent, while the index of prices paid by farmers fell by 0.57 percent. When
compared with the month of February 2014, the development of the NTP
Month February 2015 (year-on-year) increased by 1.45 percent. While NTP month of February 2015 compared to December 2014 (kalenderFebruari year 2015) increased by 1.70 percent. Farmers Exchange (NTP) East Java Month February 2015 rose 0.91 percent.

In February 2015, all sub-sectors of agriculture has increased NTP. The
increase occurred in the largest NTP Livestock sub-sector amounted to
1.02 percent from 111.94 110.80 be followed by sub-sector of Food Crops
of 0.89 percent from 101.57 into 102.47, People Plantation Crops
sub-sector of 0.83 percent from 103.29 into 104.14, horticulture sub-sector by 0.82 percent from
105.49 and 104.63 into fisheries sub-sector amounted to 0.78 percent
from 105.32 into 106.14.
Index of prices received by farmers rose 0.33 percent over the month of January 2015 is of 124.24 into 124.65. The
increase is due to higher index index of prices received by farmers in
the four sub-sectors of agriculture and the rest declined. Livestock
sub-sector experienced the largest increase is 0.53 per cent, followed
by the People Plantation Crops sub-sector by 0.28 per cent, sub-sector
by 0.27 percent Horticulture and Food Crops sub-sector by 0.25 percent. While the fisheries sub-sector received index decreased by 0.55 percent farmers.
Ten
major commodities that cause an increase in the index of prices
received by farmers in February 2015 is a beef, mango, tilapia, sea
grass, apples, cotton, tobacco, corn, sugarcane, and cassava / manioc. While the ten major commodity price index declines received by farmers
is the catfish, chili, tuna, fish oil sardine, shrimp, patchouli oil,
onion, milk, cloves, and fish swanggi.
Ten
major commodities that cause an increase in the index of prices paid by
farmers in February 2015 is a rice, laying layer, carp seed, the cost
of electricity Group I, catfish seed, cucumber, mango, wages plowing,
seed broiler, and urea. While the ten major commodity price index declines which paid farmers
are solar, cayenne pepper, gasoline, red onions, tomatoes, eggs, red
peppers, chicken laying, ice cubes, and motorcycles.
Of
the five provinces in Java that perform calculations NTP in February
2015, the three Provincial NTP increased while the rest declined. The
increase was greatest NTP in East Java Province of 0.91 per cent
followed Yogyakarta Province by 0.39 percent, and Central Java Province
of 0.30 percent. Meanwhile, West Java Province has decreased by 0.25 percent NTP, and Banten Province of 0.22 percent.
