Abstract

  • The East Java Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for December 2022 rose 2.18 percent from 102.88 to 105.13. The increase in FTT was due to the price index received by farmers (It) which increased by 2.93 percent, which was higher than the price index paid by farmers (Ib), which only increased by 0.73 percent.
  • In December 2022, all five agricultural sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP. The sub-sector that experienced the largest increase in NTP occurred in the Hortculture sub-sector by 7.17 percent from 104.38 to 111.86, followed by the Food Crops sub-sector by 2.06 percent from 102.90 to 105.02, the Livestock sub-sector by 1.00 percent from 101.94 to 102.96, the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.95 percent from 101.00 to 101.96 and the People's Plantation Plants sub-sector by 0.09 percent from 104.02 to 104.12.
  • Of the five provinces on Java Island that carried out NTP calculations in December 2022, all five provinces experienced an increase in NTP. The largest increase in NTP occurred in East Java Province by 2.18 percent, followed by West Java by 1.97 percent, Central Java by 1.91 percent, Banten by 1.36 percent and the Special Region of Yogyakarta by 1.35 percent.
