Abstract

  • The value of Jawa Timur exports in June 2020 reached USD 1.39 billion, an increase of 24.77 percent compared to May 2020. The value compared to June 2019 decreased by 8.06 percent.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in June 2020 reached USD 1.35 billion, an increase of 23.25 percent compared to May. This value compared to June 2019 decreased by 4.99 percent.
  • Oil and gas exports in June 2020 reached USD 39.29 million, up 116.65 percent compared to May. This value decreased by 56.42 percent when compared to June 2019.
  • The main categories of non-oil and gas export goods in June 2020 are Copper (HS 74) with a value of USD 122.84 million, Timber and wood goods (HS 44) with a value of USD 106.47 million and Animal and vegetable fats and oils (HS 15) with a value of USD 102.36 million.
  • Cumulatively, during January-June 2020, exports out of Jawa Timur were USD 9.64 billion, down 2.77 percent compared to January-June 2019, amounting to USD 9.92 billion. The biggest non-oil and gas export destination countries in January-June 2020 are Japan reaching USD 1,409.64 million (with a role of 14.96 percent) followed by exports to China at USD 1,253.91 million or with a role of 13.31 percent, and to the United States of USD 1,208.69 million with a role of 12.83 percent. Non-oil and gas exports to the ASEAN region reached USD 1,933.06 million or with a contribution of 20.52 percent, while non-oil and gas exports to the European Union amounted to USD 717.70 million (7.62 percent)

  • The value of East Java's imports in June 2020 reached USD 1.53 billion, an increase of 21.01 percent compared to May. This figure has decreased by 2.18 percent compared to June 2019.
  • Non-oil and gas imports in June 2020 reached USD 1.40 billion, up 25.66 percent compared to May. The value of non-oil and gas imports rose by 19.29 percent compared to June 2019.
  • Oil and gas imports in June 2020 amounted to USD 134.06 million, down by 12.64 percent compared to May. Compared to June 2019, the value decreased by 65.96 percent.
  • The main categories of non-oil and gas imports in June 2020 were the Mechanical Machinery / Aircraft (HS 84) goods group at USD 170.16 million, followed by the Wheat-goods (HS 10) group valued at USD 100.02 million and the pulp / residual goods group food industry (HS 23) in the amount of USD 85.51 Million.
  • Cumulatively, during January - June 2020, imports entering East Java were USD 10.03 billion, down 11.98 percent compared to January - June 2019, which was USD 11.39 billion.
  • The largest countries of origin of non-oil and gas imported goods during January - June 2020 from China were USD 2,318.98 million (27.61 percent), followed by the United States with a total of USD 697.57 million (8.31 percent) and imports from Thailand amounting to USD 431.56 million (5.14 percent). Non-oil and gas imports from the ASEAN group of USD 1.24 billion (14.73 percent),
  • while non-oil and gas imports from the European Union reached USD 746.99 million (8.89 percent).
