Abstract

EXPORT
  • East Java's export value in July 2020 reached USD 1.57 billion or an increase of 13.06 percent compared to June 2020. This value compared to July 2019 decreased by 11.93 percent.
  • July 2020 non-oil and gas exports reached USD 1.47 billion, an increase of 8.46 percent compared to June. This value compared to July 2019 decreased by 17.87 percent.
  • Oil and gas exports in July 2020 reached USD 106.66 million, an increase of 171.46 percent compared to June. This value increased by 11,908.76 percent when compared to July 2019.
  • The main categories of non-oil and gas export goods in July 2020 were copper (HS 74) with a value of USD 135.82 million, fats and animal / vegetable oils (HS 15) with a value of USD 130.16 million, and wood and wood products (HS 44). ) with a value of USD 118.12 million.
  • Cumulatively, during January-July 2020, exports out of East Java amounted to USD 11.21 billion or decreased by 4.17 percent compared to January-July 2019, amounting to USD 11.70 billion.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in January-July 2020 was Japan reaching USD 1,649.02 million (with a role of 15.15 percent) followed by exports to China amounting to USD 1,524.87 million or with a role of 14.01 percent, and to the United States of America amounting to USD 1,419.48 million with a role of 13.04 percent. Non-oil and gas exports to the ASEAN region reached USD 2,143.13 million or with a contribution of 19.69 percent, while non-oil and gas exports to the European Union amounted to USD 837.55 million (with a contribution of 7.69 percent).

  • East Java's Import Value in July 2020 reached USD 1.38 billion or decreased by 10.00 percent compared to June. This figure has decreased 30.95 percent compared to July 2019.
  • July 2020 non-oil and gas imports reached USD 1.21 billion or decreased by 13.38 percent compared to June. The value of non-oil and gas imports decreased by 26.28 percent compared to July 2019.
  • Oil and gas imports in July 2020 amounted to USD 167.76 million or an increase of 25.14 percent compared to June. Compared to July 2019, this value decreased by 52.59 percent.
  • The main categories of non-oil and gas imports in July 2020 were the Machinery / Mechanical Aircraft (HS 84) goods group amounting to USD 140.78 million, followed by the Plastic goods and plastic goods (HS 39) grouping USD 76.72 million and the goods group fruits (HS 08) amounting to USD 66.43 million.
  • Cumulatively, during January - July 2020, imports entering East Java amounted to USD 11.40 billion or decreased by 14.80 percent compared to January - July 2019, which was USD 13.39 billion
  • The country of origin for the largest non-oil and gas imports during January - July 2020 from China amounted to USD 2,721.84 million (28.33 percent), followed by the United States at USD 793.74 million (8.26 percent) and imports from Thailand amounting to USD 476, 41 million (4.96 percent). Non-oil and gas imports from the ASEAN group of countries amounted to USD 1.39 billion (14.51 percent), while non-oil and gas imports from the European Union reached USD 854.82 million (8.90 percent).
