Census Rehearsal (GB SP2020), the most important stage before the
implementation of the SP2020. All instruments and schemes to be used on
the SP2020 are tested in relatively small areas. In the GB SP2020 in
Makassar, residents of Kelurahan Bonto Makkio, Kecamatan Rappocini were
targeted.
Two
BPS leaders, Deputy for Social Statistics, Margo Yuwono and Chief
Inspector, Akhmad Jaelani oversaw the GB SP2020 Preparation Coordination
Meeting which was centered at the Santika Hotel, Makassar, (28/6).
Margo
opened his remarks by raising the importance of the SP2020 results
data. "In addition to obtaining data on the number, composition and
distribution of the population, the SP2020 results data can realize one
Indonesian population data." A few days ago, the President of the
Republic of Indonesia signed a Presidential Data One Regulation
indicating that the data as a government basis for various interests was
urgently needed. " So our design (BPS, red) with the new Presidential
Regulation comes out in line, "he said firmly.
Margo
further explained the various innovations of the SP2020. The use of
combination methods and the application of data collection modes that
are full of technological advancements. Call it CAWI (Computer Assisted
Web Interviewing), where residents are encouraged to update their
population data online. In addition, CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal
Interviewing) is used, officers will use special gadgets to carry out
SP2020 data collection. "The hope is that with CAWI and CAPI, we will
have a shorter time in processing census data," he said in front of
nearly one hundred participants from BPS, local government and UNICEF.
Margo
also did not forget to emphasize the importance of support from various
parties, "Cooperation with Dukcapil and various ministries or
institutions provided a big boost to the success of the SP2020." The
implementation of GB SP2020 in Makassar is one form of the results of
institutional support, UNICEF Indonesia.
Meanwhile,
the main inspector explained how internal control and risk management
were carried out in the SP2020. "Internal control seems to be the duty
of the inspectorate. This is certainly not, "he said. Jaelani explained
that internal control is an integral process carried out continuously by
all leaders and employees, so that the objectives of the activities

SP2020 at Kelurahan Bonto Makio will take place from July 2 to August
19, 2019. During the period of July 2-12, residents are encouraged to
update their data online. Those who did not do so will be visited by BPS
officials to be recorded on July 18-August 19 2019
