September 2021 East Java deflation by 0.11 percent (Revised)

Deflation occurred due to a sharp decline in prices, as indicated by the decline in one index of the expenditure group. Of the eleven expenditure groups, one group experienced deflation and ten groups experienced inflation. The expenditure group that experienced deflation was food, beverages and tobacco by 0.93 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced the highest inflation were the food and beverage/restaurant supply group at 0.60 percent, followed by the health group at 0.39 percent, the clothing and footwear group and the equipment, equipment and maintenance group.

household routines by 0.12 percent each, transportation and education groups by 0.06 percent, housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.05 percent, information, communication, and financial services by 0.04 percent, recreational, sports and cultural groups by 0.03 percent and personal care and other services by 0.02 percent.

The September 2021 calendar year inflation rate is 1.21 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (September 2021 to September 2020) is 1.92 percent.
