Abstract

Consumer Tendency Index (CTI) in East Java in Quarter 4-2014 recorded at 110.23, down from Quarter 3-2014 reaching 115.99. This condition is caused by seasonal factors such as the rise in fuel prices that occurred in Quarter 4-2014.

With the increase of fuel in Quarter 4-2014, originally thought to ITK Quarter 1-2015 below 100 but it turns out the figure of 109.11. The decline in fuel prices in the month back in January 2015 had a positive impact on the level of consumer optimism in East Java although achievements slightly lower than the Quarter 4-2014.

ITK East Java in Quarter 4-2014 (110.23) is higher than the national ITK (which stood at 107.62). In Quarter 1-2015, National ITK estimated at 106.93.

From 6 provinces in Java, East Java ITK in Quarter 4-2014 first place or have the best level of consumer optimism. Jakarta ranks second with ITK at 109.93 followed by DI Yogyakarta (108.03), Banten (107.83), and West Java (107.09). Central Java finished last with ITK at 106.02.

Estimated ITK in Java Province Quarter 1-2015 second place. The highest recorded in Jakarta (109.53) and the lowest was in Central Java (105.49). While other provinces recorded each DI Yogyakarta (107.81), Banten (107.06) and West Java (106.19
