Data Friends
The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is a survey conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) which is specifically designed to collect data that can describe the general state of employment between enumeration periods. Until now, Sakernas has undergone various changes in terms of implementation time, estimation level, scope, and methodology.
In general, the purpose of data collection through Sakernas is to provide sustainable basic employment data. in particular, to obtain estimates of data on the number of working population, the number of unemployed, and other employment indicators as well as their development at the national and provincial levels.
After the household update was carried out on 27 January to 7 February 2022, the National Labor Force Survey Data Collection (Sakernas) was continued with the sample household data collection which was carried out from 8 to 28 February 2022.
During the pandemic, the Sakernas data is one of the most awaited data because it is able to capture the latest conditions regarding the impact of Covid-19 on labor conditions.
In conducting data collection, all officers have also carried out antigen swabs and implemented strict health protocols.
